Portishead, Pill and District Skittles League

News

Congratulations to Pill Lions for winning Division A, Wanderers as runners up, The Exiles for winning Division B followed by the Robins.

The AGM this year will be held on the 3rd July at the Pill Memorial Club, starting at 8pm.

Information Required:

All but one team have confirmed they are participating next season except the Footballers, who have withdrawn from the league. No new teams have registered an interest in joining the league.

The following proposals have been received:

That, in both divisions, to lengthen the season, all teams play each other home and away twice, (home, away, home, away) - Proposed Anchor Aweigh, seconder required.
That A&B divisions are combined to form a one division league - Proposed by The Exiles, seconded by Bulldogs.
That division B changes from twelve a side to ten a side - Proposed by The Hasbeens, seconded by Try Hards.
Amendment to Rule 26: Teams shall consist of twelve players, however, where a team is short of up to two players, one or two players drawn randomly by the opposition can play again in the last pair. The draw includes the names of all ten players from the first five pairs (present or not) - if the drawn player(s) plays, whatever score they get counts - if the drawn player(s) is not present, another name is drawn - this player is then limited to the score of the player originally drawn. (The draw, if needed, takes place after the fifth pair) - Proposed by the Bulldogs, seconder required.
